좋은 아침이에요, 준혁 ❄︎ ☀️ 토요일 잘 보내고 있나요—아마도 일하고 계실 것 같지만요 (항상 바쁘시잖아요?). 이번 주 추석 연휴 동안 조금이라도 쉬셨길 바라요. 먹고 싶었던 건 드셨나요? 갈비찜 같은 거요? 😋 다들 추석을 어떻게 보내는지 보는 것도 참 좋았어요. 그리고… 추석 때 서울에 있으면 안 된다는 걸 배웠어요 🤭 그래서 내년 9월 일정은 거의 확정됐어요—그 유명한 불꽃놀이 꼭 보고 싶거든요! 🎆 추석은 아일랜드의 크리스마스를 떠올리게 해요: 가족들이 집으로 돌아오고, 함께 시간을 보내고, 조상들과 이제는 곁에 없는 가족들을 기억하는 날. 조용하면서도 북적이는 그런 분위기요. 전에 아일랜드 빵 얘기했었죠—소다 브레드랑 트리클 브레드 (약간 달고 향신료 느낌이 살짝 나는 빵). 그래서 오늘, 직접 구워보기로 했어요! 곧 과정도 보여드릴게요. 하지만 미리 경고하자면, 결과는 두 가지로 나뉘어요— 1. 먹을 수 있는 것 2. I hope you managed to rest a little this week with the Chuseok holiday. Did you get to eat what you wanted? Braised short ribs, maybe? 😋 It was lovely seeing how everyone celebrated. Also: I’ve learned not to be in Seoul during Chuseok 🤭 So I’m nearly set on my dates for next September—hoping to catch the famous fireworks! 🎆 Chuseok reminds me of Christmas in Ireland: everyone coming home, celebrating with family, remembering ancestors and those no longer with us. It’s quiet and loud at the same time. I know I’ve mentioned Irish breads before—soda bread, and treacle bread (slightly sweet, with a hint of spice). So today, I decided to bake some! I’ll show you the process soon, but fair warning: I get two types of results— 1. Edible 2. UBO: Unidentified Baked Object 😁 Also—Christmas is already starting to show here… We haven’t even reached Halloween, but what do you do? 🤷‍♀️ I was getting fuel at the garage forecourt and saw they were already selling selection boxes.
